Who’s ready for a Toyota off-road head-to-head?!

We’ve got one of the most popular Toyota SUVs around, the Land Cruiser, and it’s going up against one of the most recognisable pick-ups in the world, the Hilux! The question is, which will prove itself to be the must-have Toyota off-roader?

For starters, let’s look at the stats. The Land Cruiser comes equipped with a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel that can put down 204hp and 420Nm of torque. It’s the commercial edition, so it’s pretty much devoid of kit – it’s even only got two seats!

As for the Hilux, we’ve got our hands on the Invincible X edition, and once you look under the bonnet you’ll find… the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel as found in the Land Cruiser! However, while the power output is the same 204hp, the torque has been upped to 500Nm!
