Here’s a quick tour of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera (in Gloss Xenon Gray), the British luxury brand’s new flagship Grand Tourer (GT). Replacing the Vanquish S, the DBS Superleggera is based on the DB11’s platform and borrows its name from the marrying of the original 1967 DBS nameplate and Touring coachbuilder’s Superleggera badge (which means super light in Italian).
Under the hood of the DBS Superleggera is a 5.2-liter V12 making 715hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. A limited-slip differential and torque-vectoring is standard. 0-60 mph takes just 3.4 seconds and top speed is 211 mpg. The DBS Superleggera competes with the more powerful Ferrari 812 Superfast.
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is priced from $304,995.
